Electric Ireland have launched their new Home Services Programme which is aimed at helping people reduce their home energy bills. Home Services is the total one-stop solution to home energy needs, from insulating your walls and solar panels on the roof to light bulbs in your ceiling. It is available nationwide, to all customers, not just those of Electric Ireland Customer Supply. Bank of Ireland is the finance partner for the Electric Ireland Home Services programme and a new dedicated discounted loan product is now available to support the scheme

Features
- Both Green Loan and Electric Ireland Loans are variable rate loan offerings only.
- The maximum term is 7 years for Electric Ireland Loans.
- Borrow any amount from €300 to €65,000. The size of the loan is capped at works to be carried out in BER (Building Energy Rating) assessment report carried out on behalf of Electric Ireland.
- Flexible repayment options - tailor your repayment schedule to suit your cash flow e.g. weekly, fortnightly and monthly.
- No security required.
Lending criteria and Terms and conditions apply. Applicants must be aged 18 years or over. The rates quoted are correct as at the 24th February 2010 and are subject to change. Variable rates are available on request.

Loan offers a substantial discount of between 1.7% and 2.1% off our standard variable rates depending on amount borrowed. See table:

Discounted rates are available as detailed above off our standard variable rate. The repayments on a €8,000 loan over a period of 3 years are €263.72 per month based on a variable interest rate of 12.1% APR. The cost of credit is €1,495.71. Variable rates are correct as at 25th August 2011 and are subject to change.
