5 easy steps to open your account:

  • Step 1: Choose your device (mobile or computer) & get your details ready

    You will need

    • A valid form of photo ID – if you’re applying online or in branch, we require this to confirm you are over 18 and live in the Republic of Ireland.
    • Proof of identity – We’ll ask you to take a selfie in the application form, so make sure you’re camera ready.
    • Proof of address – Full list of acceptable documents.

      Please note:You can only open a Third Level current account once. You can keep it until you leave full-time third level education. If your education takes longer than expected (for example, changing courses or repeating a year), let us know. Otherwise, we’ll assume you’ve finished and switch you to the a standard personal current account or another suitable account. You cannot reopen a Third Level current account, even if you return to full-time third level education later. For more details, download the Personal Current Account Terms and Conditions below.

  • Step 2: Apply online

    Follow the on-screen instructions at the ‘Apply Now’ link.

  • Step 3: Review your documents and wait for your BIC and IBAN

    When you submit your application, you’ll get an email from us with a copy of important documents. Take some time to read through these. If your application is successful we will send you an SMS with your BIC and IBAN within three working days. Take note of these details and keep them safe, with your account number.

  • Step 4: Activate online banking

    Call 0818 214 365 from your registered mobile number and follow the step-by-step instructions to create your 365 PIN. To activate your account you will need your account number available. Please have your IBAN and mobile phone to hand. Once your PIN is created, you can download and start using our 365 mobile app.

  • Step 5: Activate your card

    We’ll send your new card by post as quick as we can. It should arrive within seven working days. When your card arrives, follow the instructions in the accompanying letter to activate it. Then you are all set to spend, save, and manage your money via online or phone banking.
