  • What is Live Life Rewards?

    Live Life Rewards brings you relevant cashback offers based on your registered Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card spending habits.

    Here’s how it works:

    1. Register for Live Life Rewards with your Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card
    2. You will receive relevant cashback offers based on where you spend using your registered card
    3. To redeem an offer, simply make a purchase that meets the terms of the offer
    4. Your Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card will then automatically be credited with cashback, typically within five business days

    Live Life Rewards is provided to you by Visa in partnership with Bank of Ireland.

  • Am I eligible for Live Life Rewards?

    To avail of Live Life Rewards you must be a personal current account customer with a Visa Debit card, over the age of 16 years and a resident of Republic of Ireland.

  • Registration

    • How do I register?

      You can register on the Live Life Rewards website.

      1. Simply enter your email address and check for an activation email with a link.
      2. Click on the link and then enter your Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card number, postcode and registration details, and you will be ready to start receiving relevant cashback offers.
    • Can I register more than one card?

      Once you have successfully registered with one card and signed in, you can add up to 4 more Bank of Ireland Visa Debit cards in ‘My Account’.

    • What if I want to register a Visa card issued by a different bank?

      This service is only available to Bank of Ireland Visa Debit cardholders, this means that you cannot register a Visa card issued by a different bank or card issuer. If you want to change your card to or add another Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card, simply sign in and go to ‘Manage Cards’ in ‘My Account’. Here you can see the last 4 digits of all cards that are currently registered and you may then add another Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card by typing in the new number and selecting ‘Add card’. If you want to change one of your registered cards, remove the card you no longer require and add the new one using the instructions above.

    • Can the same card be registered more than once?

      No. Once a card has been successfully registered, it cannot be registered again.

    • What’s the difference between this rewards programme and other Bank of Ireland rewards programmes? Can I register for both?

      The main difference between Live Life Rewards and other Bank of Ireland rewards programme is that Live Life Rewards is available to all personal current account customers over 16 who have a Visa Debit Card. There are various other Bank of Ireland rewards programmes available for our customers including our SuperValu Rewarding you, Premier Rewards and Feel Free. Terms and Conditions apply.

    • Account Management

      • Which card(s) did I register?

        To see the Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card(s) you have currently registered, simply login and go to ‘Manage Cards’ in ‘My Account’ where the last 4 digits will be shown for each registered card. The last 4 digits of your registered card(s) are also shown on the email sent with offers for you to view.

      • How do I view the offers that are available to me?

        You can find out about offers in two different ways:

        1. Sign in to the Live Life Rewards website and visit the ‘My Offers’ page.
        2. You can sign up to a weekly email with details of the two top offers available to you.
      • How do I change my account information (e.g., email address)?

        Please sign in to the Live Life Rewards website and go to ‘My Account’, where you can update your email address, password and other account information.

      • Why did my friend receive an offer and I did not?

        Offers are matched to your own shopping preferences and purchase history so that you get offers that are relevant to you. This means the offers you get may vary from the ones your friends or family receive.

      • What if my card is lost/stolen or has expired?

        If one of your registered cards is lost or stolen, please follow these instructions.

        If your new/replacement card has the same number, you don’t need to do anything; just continue using your Live Life Rewards account.

        If your new card has a new number, simply sign in and go to ‘Manage Cards’ in ‘My Account’. From here you can remove the card that has been replaced (identified using the last 4 digits displayed) and add your new Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card by typing in the new number and selecting ‘Add card’.

      • How do I unsubscribe from marketing emails?

        You can unsubscribe from Live Life Rewards weekly update and offer redemption emails via the Live Life Rewards website by going to ‘Manage Notifications’ in ‘My Account’. Alternatively, you can use the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in the email itself.

        Please note that unsubscribing from Live Life Rewards emails will have no effect on your marketing preferences with Bank of Ireland.

      • How do I unsubscribe from the Live Life Rewards service?

        You can unsubscribe from the service by contacting Visa from the ‘Help’ page of the Live Life Rewards website. For security reasons, please do not include your full card number or account details.

      • How do I contact you?

        If you cannot find the answer you are looking for in our Live Life Rewards help section, you can contact Visa from the ‘Help’ page.

      • Redemptions

        • I haven't received my cashback, what should I do?

          First, double check that your purchase met the terms of the offer provided in the offer details, for instance:

          • Minimum purchase amount
          • Offer validity dates
          • Correct store location
          • Correct card used

          If your purchase met all the terms, visit the ‘Help’ page on the Live Life Rewards website to report a missed transaction to Visa’s customer service team.

          Please provide the following information found on your receipt when you contact Visa:

          • Date of transaction
          • Retailer name
          • Amount paid
          • Last 4 digits of the Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card used

          For security reasons, please do not include your full card number or account details.

        • Can I review my redeemed offer history?

          Yes, in the ‘Offer History’ page, you will be able to see a full history of your redeemed offers and cashback paid. For each redeemed offer you will be able to see information such as which card was used, how much cashback was paid and the offer terms and conditions. You can also choose to view the offer history per registered card or as a summary for all cards.

          As well as redeemed offer history, you can see details for offers that you have activated previously, even if they have expired. You will be able to view this data for offers activated within the last 45 days.

        • Will I receive cashback if I pay for the offer with a different Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card?

          No. To receive the cashback for an offer, you must use one of the Bank of Ireland Visa Debit cards you have registered.

        • How do I know when I have redeemed an offer successfully?

          You can check your redeemed Visa cashback offers in three ways:

          1. Log in and visit the ‘Offer History’ page. Every offer you redeem should appear there typically within five business days of being redeemed
          2. If you have signed up for weekly emails, you will receive an email confirmation typically within five business days
          3. You will see the cashback on your statement or through your online banking transaction. The retailer/merchant name will be displayed along with your cashback
        • I redeemed an offer but the retailer's receipt doesn't have any information about cashback.

          Live Life Rewards is linked to your Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card, not the retailer’s checkout system. This means there will not be a confirmation about your offer or your cashback on your receipt. Instead, if you have signed up for weekly emails, you will receive an email confirmation regarding your cashback typically within five business days.

          Please note: checkout staff may not be aware of the offers.

          • How do I activate the offer?

            The offers are activated automatically when you open your email or viewed when you sign in. You can use these immediately by making a qualifying purchase.

          • How do I redeem an offer?

            To redeem an offer, simply pay with the Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card you registered with. But first, make sure you understand and can meet the terms of the offer (e.g. offer validity dates, minimum purchase amount, etc.). Please note that cashback will typically be paid into your account within five business days.

          • How long will it take to receive my cashback?

            Your cashback will be paid into your account typically within five business days.

          • How will I receive my cashback?

            Your cashback will be credited directly to the registered Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card you used to redeem the offer. Please note that cashback will typically be paid into your account within five business days.

          • How many times can I redeem an offer?

            Typically the offers can only be redeemed once. Please check the terms of each offer to find out how many times it can be redeemed.

          • I’ve a query on my offers, who can I contact?

            If you cannot find the answer you are looking for here logon to the Live Life Rewards website, and go to the ‘Help’ page to contact Visa’s customer service team.
            Once in the ‘Help’ page scroll to the bottom of the page to the ‘Still can’t find what you’re looking for? Select the ‘Other’ option. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and enter your query in the box provided.

            Please provide the following information found on your receipt when you contact Visa:

            • Date of transaction
            • Retailer name
            • Amount paid
            • Last 4 digits of the Bank of Ireland Visa Card used

            For security reasons, please do not include your full card number or account details.

            • How does Live Life Rewards handle my personal information?

              Please see below some FAQs on how Visa handle your personal information. Further details, including what information Visa hold about you and why, are available in Visa’s Privacy Policy.

            • Where is my data stored?

              Information on how you choose to use Live Life Rewards is securely stored by Visa technology platforms in the EU. However, to operate the service, your data may be sent outside of the EU but will be protected. Please see the Privacy Policy for more details. Any information related to the regular use of your Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card is stored securely.

            • Will Bank of Ireland or Visa share my information and/or my purchase habits with third parties?

              Only Bank of Ireland, Visa, retailers (see below) and their subcontractors have access to your data for the purposes of Live Life Rewards and as described in the Privacy Policy. It is not shared with any other third parties.

              When you redeem an offer with a retailer, the retailer will have access to your information in the normal course of processing a payment. This is because when you redeem an offer and make a transaction with a retailer you may be required to provide some information directly to them in order for your purchase to be processed.

              Also, in order to credit the cashback to your registered Bank of Ireland Visa Debit card, Visa confirms with retailers that you met the terms of your offer in the purchase. For that, Visa send retailers limited selected information about such purchases.

            • Will I start receiving unsolicited emails if I join Live Life Rewards?

              No. Live Life Rewards will only contact you via email about Live Life Rewards.

              You can however always unsubscribe from receiving marketing emails from Live Life Rewards. If you unsubscribe, you can log in to the Live Life Rewards website and visit the ‘My Offers’ page to find out what new offers you have. Please note that you will still receive emails from Live Life Rewards on other relevant issues related to the Service, such as changes to the terms and conditions or privacy policy.
