Transfers

  • How to transfer Money to Other Countries.

Using 365 online or the Mobile Banking App.

If you're signed up for 365 online, you can send money within or outside Ireland or the UK by creating a new payee. You can do this by adding the details of the person or business you want to pay in another country through your 365 online account.

    • You can send euros to countries that are not in the SEPA zone. (For example, Euro to China)
    • You can also send payments in other currencies. For example, US dollars to the USA or British pounds to the UK. You can do this using either the 365 online website or the Mobile Banking app.
    • If you want to send euros to a country that is in the SEPA zone by using 365 online or the Mobile App, you need to add their account details as a "SEPA Payee" on 365 online.

Here are some important limits for sending money online:

    • On the Banking 365 app, there is a daily limit. You can send up to a total of €20,000 or £20,000 each day. This includes all fees.
    • There's a lower limit of €10,000 or £10,000 per payment for:
      • India (INR).
      • Thailand (THB).
      • The Philippines (PHP).
    • For extra security, if you can add a new person or business to pay, we send a security code to your phone. This confirms there's a limit of €10,000 or £10,000 to send to a payee per banking day. This includes all fees.

If you need to send more than €20,000 or £20,000.

Please go to your local Bank of Ireland branch.

    Using branch

If you are a customer, you can make an international transfer in the branch for over €/£10,000. For amounts smaller than that, you can send them on 365 online.

If you wish to transfer funds to a country that isn’t listed on Banking 365, please contact your nearest branch. They will be able to help you.

If you wish to transfer funds to a country listed on Banking 365 and the amount you wish to transfer is over €/£20,000 or a payment in urgent, please contact your local branch.
