Bank of Ireland mortgage holders can apply to borrow €15,000, or up to 90% of the value of your home.

If you’re looking to switch your mortgage to Bank of Ireland, you can get additional funding to improve your BER once you’re on The EcoSaver Mortgage. Or switch from your current Bank of Ireland mortgage and provide your BER for great EcoSaver Mortgage rates.

Home Energy Upgrade Loan Scheme

Looking to improve the Building Energy Rating (BER) of your home with a lower cost loan? The Home Energy Upgrade Loan Scheme, alongside a Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) grant, could be the answer.

Get a BER assessment

For homes with an outdated BER or without a BER, you’ll need an independent assessor registered with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).

Home energy upgrade grants

If you’re improving or adding insulation, heating controls, a heat pump or solar system to your home, you may qualify for SEAI grants.

To receive home energy grants, you must use an SEAI registered contractor, like our partner SSE Airtricity, Ireland’s first SEAI registered One-Stop-Shop, who meets the technical, compliance and quality standards of the SEAI.
