Some tips for when travelling abroad to help make your trip go smoothly;

    • Pay in the local currency
      When buying something abroad you may be asked if you want to pay in Euro or the local currency. We would recommend you should always pay in the local currency as higher charges typically are applied by retailers if you opt to convert your transaction to Euro.
    • Pay with credit rather than debit
      When making purchases at a point of sale, it is generally cheaper to use your credit card. Use your debit card when withdrawing cash at an ATM.
    • Be aware of ATM withdrawal limits abroad, see below to find out more
    • Bring the lost and stolen cards phone number with you
      We have a 24-hour service to cancel your lost or stolen credit/debit card and issue replacement card(s).
