KBC Residual Balances

(Funds from your former KBC current account (your “Residual Balance”))

KBC residual balances transferred from KBC Bank Ireland plc (KBC) to Bank of Ireland (BOI) on 03 November 2023.

How to reclaim your full residual balance from Bank of Ireland

(BOI will not be in a position to fulfil partial reclaim requests)

To reclaim your KBC Residual Balance:

• visit any Bank of Ireland Branch
• present your KBC Letter “Goodbye Comms”, your identification documentation (a passport or drivers’ licence) and proof of address (a recent utility bill or letter from the government)
• complete the residual balance claim form
• for joint accounts – either party to the account can reclaim the residual balance

Once your identity has been verified and the reclaim form completed, we’ll pay/transfer your funds to your nominated account. If further verification is required, your funds will be transferred within 5 business days.
